Kaena Point Excursion (6-7 Hours)
Kaena Point is the rugged coastline on the northwest tip of Oahu, accessible only by foot or permitted 4x4 vehicle. We will start our adventure in historic Haleiwa town on the North Shore at noon.
Tip: We recommend arriving earlier to explore Haleiwa town on your own. The North Shore is the surf capital of the world, and Haleiwa is a unique surf town with epic vibes and delicious treats! There are numerous great restaurants, food trucks, art galleries, historic buildings, souvenir stands, and boutique shops to discover. Haleiwa is also home to the best Mexican food, shaved ice, and Acai bowls on the island! Ask me and I’ll tell you where to go!
After sampling Hawaiian shaved ice or a tasty Acai bowl, we will pause at Haleiwa Ali’i Beach Park for photos of one of the best views of Mount Ka’ala, the highest peak on Oahu. Next, we will take a scenic drive through the old Waialua Sugar and Coffee Mill and soap factory for souvenir shopping and treats. Coffee enthusiasts can enjoy complimentary samples of freshly roasted Waialua Coffee, Waialua Chocolate, and Roasted Cacao Beans produced right at the mill. If you prefer caffeine-free options, you can choose natural shaved ice or fruit smoothies.
We will then journey to Kaena Point. With majestic green mountains on one side and the beautiful blue ocean on the other, this 7-mile shoreline is perfect for adventure and exploration! Traveling over rocky dirt roads, mud bogs, and ditches in a comfortable and spacious 4x4 truck, we will make frequent stops to explore and cool off at private beaches or tide pools along the way. After swimming or snorkeling, we will enjoy island snacks and refreshments on the beach.
Later in the day, we will embark on an easy hike to the northwest tip of the island where we will see the old lighthouse, Hawaiian Iwa birds nesting on the ground, resting Monk Seals on the shoreline, spacious sand dunes, and panoramic views of both the north and west shores of the island. The day will conclude with a spectacular sunset view of the West Oahu mountains, providing a perfect backdrop for stunning pictures to cherish.

Morning North Shore Snorkel Safari - Meet two hours earlier (10am) for a rare and intimate snorkel experience at a top secret spot where we will see all kinds of marine wildlife and LOTS of sea turtles. Gear and gopro footage included. $75 per person.
